A first-of-its-kind short form hybrid series, Halcyon brought audiences together across broadcast, web, and VR platforms. Developed in partnership with SyFy International, those audiences spanned 80 territories globally, in many languages and on multiple channels, consistently exceeding viewership expectations.

Halcyon is a speculative crime procedural that follows two detectives as they unravel the mystery of the first murder in VR, while struggling with their own connections to the technology; a show about VR, to be experienced in VR, where “the scene is virtual, but the crime is real”.

Role: Creative Director, Creator, Story Consultant

The concept, characters and world were one of my own design. While I worked closely with a screenwriter on the linear scripts, I took on a central role in writing the interactive VR episodes.

As the key vision-holder for the IP, I was instrumental in selling through the project through pitch decks and concept art that I helped source or created myself.

I remained the primary creative through out the production, working closely with our live-action director and film crew as well as with the digital team working in VR.
