Crowdrise is a disruptive charity platform co-founded by Edward Norton. With a mandate to make the donation experience a fun and rewarding one, the organization wanted to take their Giving Tower mobile experience and bring it into VR. The resulting experience not only impressed donors, but also gave them perspective on the sheer number of charitable donations made through the app on Giving Tuesday, the annual day where we give back.
Role: Creative Director
Taking the abstract tower concept and correlating its height dynamically to the number of world-wide donations, allowed us to compare it with other impressive real-world structures such as the Empire State Building.
As the lead creative, I managed a small team to bring our creative vision to life. Working with the art directors and programmers we assembled an experience that resulted in increased awareness and donations.
